Notes
- John Good Robinson is our earliest ancestor known to have stayed in Renfrew County, Ontario. He settles on a farm Lot 2, Concession 6, in the Westmeath twp., and apparently spent his adult life there.
Margaret Hawthorne was born in Ireland and was the daughter of Robert Hawthorne. Nothing is known of her mother except she died on shipboard during the voyage to Canada. Robert re-married and had several more children among them Uncle Alex, the famous breeder of Clydesdale horses.
John and Margaret's children seem to have been a strong minded, independent group of individuals.
