- Robert Louis Fulton
Robert (Bob) Fulton passed away in Dauphin, Manitoba on Sunday, May 11, 2003 at the age of 82 years, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Bob was born February 8, 1921 in Dauphin, Manitoba, to Wilfred and Bessie (Bateman) Fulton. He was raised on the family farm northeast of Dauphin, and attened Old Dauphin and Dauphin Plains Schools.
Bob joined the Army in 1942 and served with the 12th Manitoba Dragoons in England and in Europe. Bob married Kathleen (Kay) Robinson in Dauphin on August 14, 1945.
In Dauphin, Bob was employed by King's Garage and Fendick's Garage. As a mechanic, Bob was also employed by the Department of Highways from 1956 untill his retirement in 1981.
Following his retirement, Bob spent a few years farmong the family farm. He also gave many hours helping other farmers in the family, either with his mechanic's expertise or operating machinery.
Bob and Kay spent many enjoyable summers sharing their cabin at Cresent Cove with their family and friends. Many menbers of their extended family have fond memories of times at the cottage.
Bob was always there to lend a hand and his friendly personality will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Bob was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathleen; his parents; sisters; Irene McNaughton; Margaret Atkinson; Shirley Seeley; - brother-in-law Lloyd Robinson; Jack Robinson; Aubrey Robinson; Warren Parker; Arthur Cooke; Harold Archer; Alfred Archer; sister-in-law ; Violet Archer; May Robinson; and Eva Robinson.
He leaves to cherish with many fond memmories his brothers; Allan (Mabel) Fulton and Roy (Millie) Fulton; brother-in-law; Gordon Seeley; Ab McNaughton; George (Myrtle) Robinson; and Gordon Robinson; sister-in-law; Cordelia Archer; Fern Parker; Elsie Cooke; Jean (Edwin) Neill; Mary Robinson; Evelyn Robinson; and many Nieces and Nephews.
A family graveside service was held, May 16, 2003. Internment took place at Riverside Cemetery, Dauphin, Manitoba.
