    It is also spelled "Ritchie"  in various census records &  a broken headstone in Beachburg Union Cemetery  reads:

    "In Memory of (Sa)? rah Ritchie
    Wife of(?)
    died age 48(?) yrs.
    Erected by Dau Eliza"

    This stone is next to that of Sarah's parents, James Ritchie and Mary McCambridge.
